The Murder. The Manhunt. The Events That Stunned A Nation. Minute-by-minute account of the moments leading up to the assassination of President Abraham Lincoln, from the perspective of Lincoln and his murderer, John Wilkes Booth.

On April 14, 1865, Abraham Lincoln met with his cabinet and signed an executive order lifting the blockade of the South. That evening, he took wife Mary Todd Lincoln to see a new play, "Our American Cousin," at Ford's Theatre in downtown Washington. While watching the play, he was shot and mortally wounded by John Wilkes Booth, an actor and Southern patriot. Also recreates Booth's dash for freedom and the showdown that ended in his death.
