During the French and Indian Wars, the legendary woodsman known as The Pathfinder (or Natty Bumppo), along with his adoptive Indian father Chingachgook and the beautiful Mabel Dunham, becomes involved in an attempt to rescue a besieged British fort. Adapted from the 1840 novel by James Fenimore Cooper, one of the author's "Leatherstocking Tales."
