When a teenage boy is torn from his friends and city surroundings by his family's move to the country, he's convinced his life is at an end. In fact, it is a new beginning. For there he is befriended by a wild but magnificent dog, a wolf-husky mix named White Fang. As the boy helps the dog regain his trust in man, the dog rewards him with uncompromising loyalty, devotion and bravery. Soon inseparable, the two share exciting adventures as the boy adapts to his new life in the country and overcomes the challenges of growing up.

Review
A strangely addictive programme, and whether you're watching it to see what strange array of Canadian/American sports wear 'Matt' will be wearing (he can't seem to decide which area he's rooting for), or for that matter which 90's fashions have influenced him that morning, or whether you watch to see what possible trouble Matt can find himself in, then relying on a wolf to save him, White Fang is a must watch show.

Suffice to say there was a familiar formula for the episodes that usually went 'Matt told not to do something, Matt discusses this with his wolf, decides to do it, Wolf goes charging over the fields to inform the grown ups that Matt needs rescuing, Matt figuring out why he shouldn't have done it in the first place.' If ever there was an accident waiting to happen, Matt Scott was it, you see a cliff, he'll be falling down it in the next scene, a rushing river, he'll be drowning in it within seconds - it was quality and if there isn't a drinking game to accompany this show, then I insist that one be created to make it even more fun towatch!

But getting pass the enjoyment factor, I must admit to finding it amusing that Jaimz is playing a 16 year old in this when he was I think at least mid-twenties (his wife is in the credits as part of the production team!) and his screen mother was only four years older than him in real life, is that an insult to her or a compliment to Jaimz? The complete series is now available on dvd in North America and worth every penny!
